Mavitra AI is operated by Mavitra Pty Ltd (Australia). Last updated 1 October 2026.

What we collect

From merchants using the service: product catalog data read from your Shopify store through the private app you install — titles, descriptions, images, tags, collections and existing metafields — and the attributes we derive from them. We do not read customer, order or payment data; the app's permissions are limited to products.

From people requesting an audit: the store URL, name, email address and notes you submit on the audit form, plus the request's IP address and browser identifier for abuse prevention. Public pages of the store you nominate are read to perform the audit.

From visitors: this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Standard server logs are kept by our hosting provider for security.

How we use it

To perform the audit or enrichment you asked for, to write results back to your store when you have enabled that, to support you, and to measure the accuracy of our own system against your data. Audit requests are kept as an internal record so we can follow up with you.

Where it lives and who sees it

All data is processed and stored in Microsoft Azure's Australia East region. Product content is sent to our AI model providers (currently OpenAI) solely to extract attributes; those providers are contractually prevented from using it to train models, and we never use your data to train anything. No data is sold or shared with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Catalog data and derived attributes are kept while your subscription is active and deleted within 30 days of cancellation, or sooner on request. Audit samples are deleted 90 days after the audit unless you become a customer. Operational logs are retained for 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you or your store, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by emailing hello@mavitra.ai. We respond within 30 days. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
